WELCOME
I’m honored to be nominated for the position of Orange County Bar Association Secretary, and thank you for your interest in my campaign. I’ve spent my entire 22+ year legal career practicing in Orange County at Aitken Aitken Cohn, and welcome the opportunity to continue my service in OCBA as a member of the leadership team.
As membership organizations across the country struggle to retain members, OCBA’s numbers remain steady. Continued success will require expanding opportunities for engagement with newer and younger lawyers, diversifying opportunities for involvement of all OCBA members, and further supporting the sections and committees that constitute the OCBA community.
I look forward to accomplishing these goals by spearheading targeted efforts to educate Orange County lawyers about the significant personal and professional value of OCBA, encouraging new and diverse opportunities for OCBA member participation both virtually and in person, and ensuring that every lawyer in Orange County knows there is a place for them in OCBA. By meeting attorneys where they are in our post-COVID world, I’m confident OCBA will continue to thrive. OCBA is one of the most well-respected local bar associations in the country, which helps foster a unique camaraderie between the entire OC bench and bar. I hope to earn your support to continue serving OCBA, reinforcing its well-deserved national legacy, and preserving the collaborative legal community in Orange County that serves as a model for the nation.

ENDORSEMENT LETTER

August 15, 2025
Dear Colleagues, I'm writing to enthusiastically endorse Casey Johnson for the position of Secretary of the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA). Casey is an exceptional leader and a dedicated member of our legal community. Over the past 22 years, he has dedicated his entire legal career to Orange County, practicing at Aitken Aitken Cohn, where his work has consistently reflected both excellence and integrity.
His track record of leadership speaks for itself. Casey has led multiple organizations as Past President of the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, Orange County Lavender Bar Association, Robert A. Banyard Inn of Court, and the Western Trial Lawyers Association. He also serves on the Executive Committees of both the Consumer Attorneys of California and the American Association for Justice, a testament to the respect he commands statewide and nationally. I had the privilege of serving under Casey's leadership at OCTLA while he was President and now while he is on the Executive Committee. Casey leads with passion, integrity, and genuine care for those with whom he works. His remarkable abilities inspired and motivated me to pursue leadership roles in various organizations, culminating in my own tenure as President of OCTLA in 2018. Within the OCBA, Casey has been a thoughtful and forward-thinking contributor, serving on the Racial Justice Task Force, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee, Nominations Committee, and Bylaws Committee. He brings a strong commitment to fairness, collaboration, and progress, and he understands the importance of ensuring OCBA remains not only the premier bar association in California but a national model. Casey is not just highly qualified-he is also deeply grounded in the values that define strong leadership: inclusion, transparency, service, and vision. I do not doubt that he will bring energy, experience, and heart to the OCBA Secretary role. I urge you to join me in supporting Casey Johnson for OCBA Secretary. He has my full endorsement. |
